      • Introduction

      In 2025, the Czech Chemical Society and Czech Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in association with the general partner Merck Life Science spol. s.r.o. (www.sigmaaldrich.cz) and further sponsors are traditionally holding the Interdisciplinary Meeting of Young Researchers and Students from chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and biomaterial-related fields.

      The Conference will take place on May 18 – 21, 2025

      The registration form for the Interdisciplinary Meeting of Young Biologists, Biochemists, and Chemists can be found here.

      Registration deadline is on January 31st, 2025, the same deadline applies for sending the abstracts. The abstract should be sent electronically, in English language, and should be formatted according to the template, that is available on www.interdisciplinarymeeting.cz. The abstract should meet all the requirements stated in the template.

      The abstracts failing to meet the requirements will not be engaged in the selection process! Template is available here. We bly recommend not making any alterations in abstract formatting style (e.g., in fonts, paragraphs, etc.) while creating your abstract. Scientific and graphical quality of abstracts, reviewed by the scientific committee, implies shortlisting of the best candidates for the conference.

      By March 15th, 2025, conference participants will be selected by the Scientific Committee, and contacted via e-mail.

      For 2025 we have these sections:

      • Bioscience & Molecular Biology (from biochemistry to biology)
      • Organic Chemistry & Catalysis (synthesis, medicinal chemistry, etc.)
      • Advanced Analytics & Material Science (separation techniques, mass spec., biomaterials, polymers, biosensors, etc.)
         

      Terms of participation:

      Conference Competition: is open for young researchers and students under the age of 35 (birth date in 1990 and younger, this limit can be prolonged for a period of maternity leave) who are employed in the Czech or Slovak Republic. PostDocs are excluded from the competition. All interested are obliged to send the abstract and the list of publications together with the registration before January 31st, 2024.

      REGISTRATION FORM IS ONLY AVAILABLE VIA ON-LINE REGISTRATION

      Awards for the best ones:

      Authors of the winning oral lectures (one for each section) will be awarded at the end of the conference. The best poster will be awarded with Jitka Moravcová prize. The competition is open only to students (Bc., M.Sc., Ph.D.), not for PostDocs.

      Further information:

      Meals and accommodation for the participants are pre-paid by the Organizers, the participants are to cover their expenses for beverages and transportation to the event location.
